Heh, today's one of those days when I purposely missed my bus stop. She stays in the Yew Tee area apparently, cos she dropped at the interchange. Go figure.

Today Aaron practically ORDed. Wishing him all the best!

Weiyang practises a very esoteric religion. Nichiren Shoshu. The website exudes a very calm feeling. Haven't actually read through the contents yet, so I'm bookmarking it here for later perusal.

Just gave tuition. Today was better than yesterday. Yesterday was just the wrong day for both tutee and I, we were just exchanging curt replies and the air was slightly tense to the point of hostility. But well, he had a cold and I was suffering from lack of sleep syndrome, so *shrugs* Why do I always type shurg instead of shrug the first time round?

Anyway, my coursemates are organising a KTV outing this Sat evening, but too bad man, I've a date at the Singapore Conference Hall with an ex-classmate. We haven't met for ages!! How long? I'm gonna pass her the CNY photos, that's how long..

I was telling wy how I seem to impose a degree of self-censorship while blogging nowadays, because of the fact that I'm aware of more people reading my blog on a regular basis, and while I understand that publishing the blog on the web which invariably leads to pple reading it is my choice in the first place, which is why I am not complaining that people are reading my blog, it's kinda different when people actually ask you to update your blog. I write my blog for myself, I just happen not to mind sharing it with people, even strangers. But ultimately I am in control of my blog, i.e. I blog when I want to, I blog what I want to and the list goes on...And yet, my blog doesn't quite belong to me, it's starting not to embody the whole of me, for I ain't pouring the whole of myself into it, because of a degree of self-censorship that I was talking about. And there's nothing really much that anyone can do but bitch about it. In fact, most people would not realise that the blog is not all of me when they read, had I not typed this ranty and whiny passage.

Well.

I ain't being untruthful or anything, I just choose not to put into words feelings that are better not put into words. Okay, I am satisfied with that for now.

Yawn. I'm getting eye bags.

Listening to Kylie Minogue's Come Into My World now.

Waiting for my tutee to arrive. *croons*

At last I burnt the latest CD of mp3s that I've been wanting to burn..still can't imagine how I survived 3 weeks without a dose of Liang Jingru's Ting Bu Dao every morning. heh, I am partial towards some of her songs, like the Turn Left Turn Right OST, of which the title I can never remember...

*Da, da da, da da da, da da...*

Decided to watch Winter Sonata all over again, after hearing the piano version of "My Memory" yesterday. Haha, I actually owe Soon Wee his sis's VCD set since last December! It's been almost 9 months since I borrowed it.

Today was a pretty good day. I am still adapting back to doing duty, the first duty I did after the course, I had a headache the day after. Today I didn't get a headache, so it's a good sign. Went running and did some weight training. These days the sun is getting rather shy, hopefully this friday it will be sunny, so I can go tan.

Aiyah, byebye. And anyway, I think some of the songs of R&B are really act cute.

Yo..it's Monday finally..

Before I forget, this is an interesting link from SQ. --> http://www.unifr.ch/econophysics/minority/game/

My score was around 3.2. Heh.

She gave me an insight from the inside...-__- on the more technical aspects of academic life, i.e., the questions they ask in exams. Being blunt helps sometimes. But oh well, what am I talking abt now?

Love Tao Zhe's Jimodejijie. *Yawn*

Was talking to millions of pple on icq and msn today. Ok, maybe not millions of pple, but probably millions of letters, punctuation marks and spaces were exchanged over cyberspace. And the good thing is that no space was wasted. It's a pity too, on the other hand. Ah, but never mind.

Why the song end so fast?

My junior was telling me how he believed in ghosts ever since his enlistment. Hmm, I shouldn't think too much right now 'cos I am the only one awake, and this place is really ulu. =( Well, if you ask me, I am between a believer and one who is a neutral party.

Sleep beckons.

Sigh, it's only 9am and I'm already thinking it's 9pm..

Sole consolation - my IC's radio softly crooning love ballads to keep me awake..

There must be something more productive I can do with the rest of my 23 hours here...

Yesterday Will asked me to follow him to this fashion show at Four Seasons Hotel..woah. It's pple who visit Gucci and Prada on a regular basis who attend such functions u know...i told him. Haha, in the end I didn't go 'cos I know I'll feel out of place (and others will find me out of place too *shrugs* not that I really care) For those who know me well, a shirt is a shirt, as long as it performs its function. Well...people may say I haven't learnt to appreciate the finer things in life...I question their definition of the 'finer' things in life. To each his own, I say. I may appreciate certain things to be 'finer' than others, and certain practicalities like a shirt or for that matter, a car, are not meant to be objects of desire, but more for necessity or convenience.

The tension in Taiwan is breaking new grounds every minute...like my father says, Chen is probably using delay tactics on purpose, pressing the patience of the Taiwanese to their limits before taking the moral high ground when violence breaks out among the populace. Well, based on personal instinct, it seems blatantly obvious how the attempted assassination on Chen was planned, if not by Chen, then by a Chen sympathiser. However, there's always the legal trap - where's the evidence that it was pre-planned? Especially when the Taiwan police have expressed their opinion that it is impossible to stage a fake assassination. Well, guess this episode, regardless how it ends, will be one of the turning points in cross-straits history.

Aiyah, was influenced by the footages of rioting on TV.

The Eye 2 was good! I think it's better than the Eye 1. And I fully see why pregnant ladies shouldn't see it. Man...if I were a lady, I would be seriously deterred from getting pregnant after watching this! No spoilers here though. Heh.

Had lunch at Crystal Jade Taka again. This William refused to let me go Dutch!! Argh!! I even threatened not to go out with him anymore if he were to insist on treating me. *Dang!* In the end he still got his way. I wasn't very hungry though, ate this steamed vegetable bun dish. The filling was green vegetables, unlike the usual one where you have turnips and carrot. Actually it's not very nice.

Good morning. Hmm, meeting a coursemate for lunch and a movie later. We're catching The Eye 2. Remember watching it in JC2 after the biology block practical test 2. Lol. Devin was the only one who said it was scary. The story was good then, wonder if it will live up to my expectations this time. Well, but at least the main actress' mum said she was scared by her own daughter, so *shrugs*, we'll see.

Wah, yesterday evening's thunderstorm was spectacular to say the least. I don't think I've ever consciously watched an energy packed (pun unintended) display of wrath by the heavens before. Yesterday was the first time, 'cos I was waiting at the bus stop just outside the air base, and the bus was not coming, and we were staring into the sky when all the lightning flashes started streaking down in thick, sometimes repetitive, bolts that reminded me of how I've seen Chinese painters paint a piece with a mere few strokes of the brush. There was a scene where there were 3 separate lightning flashes simultaneously across the sky, with one of them (I think it was the centre one) coming down 3 times successively! And it was only 2 seconds (read: less than 10 km) away from us. And there were few trees in the immediate vicinity. The only other scene that could measure up was when this lightning bolt hit this unfortunate place 5 times in rapid succession. *Stunned*

Yay it's Friday! My first week back in office and I'm kind of sian already. But sian is good too. At least not stressed.

Had a good talk with one of my unit friend who's going to ORD soon. Hmm, I know he'll find his direction in life one day, it just happens that it hasn't occurred to him as yet. He's an example of how the education system in Singapore has failed to cater to people of all talents. Despite how they often hawk about applying Confucious' concept of "To each his own ability", it seems inevitable that some people will always fall through these gaps in the system, and hence are forced to go overseas, at their own expense, for an education experience that is more synchronised with their individual abilities.

My IC bought cake from Secret Recipes for us today. Sigh, I really shouldn't be eating so much junk food. It's just the post-course mood, that anything and everything goes.

Tuition is cancelled today 'cos my tutee has an orientation campfire at PJC. But it looks like it's gonna rain..

Duty is ending in about an hour! Went out for lunch with my aunts and parents yesterday. We went to PS, and ate at the Ajisen Restaurant, which is supposedly well-known for its ramen. I ate the lunch set, a standard ramen with a soft shell crab side dish. What I liked about the ramen at Ajisen is that it's not as salty as those in other restaurants, e.g. Nooch Noodle Bar esp the one at the Heeren. But while it's less salty, it's flavour was not compromised (I think it's 'cos of the amount of MSG they used in replacement). That's why two of my aunts were complaining about giddiness after the relatively MSG-heavy meal; how about 'Japanese restaurant syndrome' for a change?

After that we took a walk at Carrefour before heading for dessert at Swensen's. Wah, feeling bad after indulging in so much good food! The Celebrity Brownie I ate, which essentially was 2 brownies with 3 scoops of vanilla ice cream and whipped cream and chocolate sauce, totally wiped out the effects (if any) of my run yesterday morning. But at least I don't feel as bad as if I hadn't gone for the run.

The new round of Utopia's starting soon. By the time I wake up it should have commenced.

Took a half day today. It was totally unplanned, 'cos my IC told me to take it at the last minute. Not that I minded though. He bought us some oneh oneh, which was fabulous. Which reminds me: he's going to give my section a treat 'cos of my best trainee award. Heh heh. Got kou3 fu2 again. But I hope he won't treat us to prawn mee, which I really don't like and he likes!

Waiting for tuition to commence. Hmm, now I am like giving 4 sessions a week! No choice lah, can really do with some extra cash. To buy household necessities like the new washing machine, which arrived last week and was paid for totally by my tuition fees. And to pay for my monthly insurance premium. And others and others.

On duty tomorrow. My first duty in 3 weeks! Those people on duty last night didn't sleep at all, 'cos of the Malaysia elections. I hope I don't kena the Indonesia election duty.

You are thinker, organizer, peacekeeper, and leader all in one. You have a power to command attention and people listen to you. However, you are often so concerned about not hurting others' feelings that you don't tell them what they need to hear and this gets you both into trouble. But you always have loyal friends to help you out.

Attended TCHS's 85th Founder's Day 'cos my brother was receiving an award. The principal said in terms of L1R5 we are first this year, but my bro said we tied with RI. Well, that's good enough news. By far, I have never seen TCHS performing better than a second position. But it doesn't matter so much this year since there's a new criteria for ranking.

19.3.04

It feels good to be back in the office! But I am sure it will wear off soon.. :P

Some people congratulated me for being the best trainee, some asked when the treat is going to be, and I don't really know when they're joking or not. But I know I will miss my course mates and instructors. :( Put up some new photos we took during the course. The last week (15-18Mar) was quite fun. Monday to Wednesday, we had like 3 practical tests, one everyday. And we had the biggest test on Thursday. And of all times my Monday tuition kid had to postpone it to Wednesday 'cos of a stomachache, the evening I was planning to cram everything in.

Now I am watching some video clip from ChannelNewsAsia. I am just letting it run its course while I type this entry. Cheating myself that I've watched it.

We were allocated 1 miserable dollar a person for end-of-course refreshments, which is barely enough for a drink. So with 30 bucks in hand, and everyone else forking out 7 dollars a person, we walked over to Canadian Pizza which was just across the road from the camp. We ordered like 10 extra large pizzas and 2 medium ones (one for the vegetarians and one for the non-beef eaters). Of course, we over-ordered. But this ensured that we had something to ta-bao back for the instructors, who deserved every bit the treat from us.

Then it was skit-time. We were split up into 3 groups and each presented on a topic given to us concerning the life in an office. It ended up a melee of jokes and famous quotes that we have accumulated since the start of the course. Haha. Especially my signature 'water-drinking' ritual.

And of cos someone had to make me bet to perform the ritual if I got the best trainee, upon the announcement of the last test results. He wanted me to do it 5 times and I said 3 and so he said 4 and that's it and I was 'Huh? Did I agree?'

*Breaked for lunch. Went to Tampines Mall and had the Lunch Express at Pizza Hut. I love going out for lunch!*

We went to Crystal Jade at Taka for dinner. 6 of us squeezed in William's Merc and the rest of the guys made their way there. I never knew they served some pretty good dian xin other than their noodle items. I ate the 5-spice beef noodle. The fried eel was damn good too. Not forgetting the crystal bao and a dish that is remeniscent of how one eats Peking duck, except it isn't duck meat. We also had 4-season beans (essentially long beans) and hong kong style kailan, which were so-so. After that they were debating whether to go bowling, drinking or have dessert. Since they know I don't drink, they were thinking of having dessert, but everyone was so full, so in the end we went to this restaurent-bar on the first floor of Wisma Atria, the Indochine. I had a sip of everybody's drinks: Modori 7-up, Long Island dunno-what tea, Singapore Sling, Stella-ah-toire or something and one more cannot remember what's the name. The beer really sucked, the Sling was prety fruity and neutral, and the best is the Modori.

13.3.04

Yo blog! Just had dinner, before that was a good swim, and listening to Hidamari No Uta now.

Going to rain again, CAT 1 status. Wonder if it'll be like yesterday, dark clouds, thunder but no rain. Talking about thunderstorms, I was quite shocked when I read about Jiang Tao, the 18yo Sinchi player who was struck to death by lightning on Wednesday. 'Cos it happened that on that day we were supposed to have sports, and a bunch of us had already decided on tennis, brought the rackets and balls and booked the courts, and hoping like hell that the skies would, for once throughout the week, be clear. But then apparently some of the DXOs prayed harder than us (for rain, lazy bums) for the moment we changed it hit CAT 1. We (the guys) wanted to heck care and were already walking towards the tennis court, but our course adminstrator, we call her 'Mum', stopped us saying it's against the safety policy. So we all went to play captain's ball at the hall, and I got this bruise below my right eye and cut on my right nose bridge by crashing into another girl during the game. Now look damn pathetic. Haha.

Now it's Winter Sonata's Unforgettable Love. Korean ballads sound so good.

Tea count: 4.40 + 4 + 3.5 + 1.3 + 4.2 + 1.5 = 18.9

Oops, been skipping lunch and spending money during tea breaks. Heh heh. Sick of their cookhouse food lah. Went to a course mate's place during lunch break on Wed cos he forgot to bring his PT shoes for sports. Wah lao, he practically stays beside the camp! Everytime after dismissal, I'll walk with him to my bus stop, and he stays just 5 minutes away from the bus stop. And I just reached the bus stop.

Yesterday two of my closer buddies and I decided we'd go out for lunch. We hopped on the car of this regular of SAF band who is vegetarian and goes out to eat everyday cos the camp does not cater to Chinese vegetarians. We went to Chong Pang hawker centre. It's different from the last time I went there a few years ago cos it was recently renovated. After lunch, we went kia kia, then passed by this pet shop, when we were joking if we should buy a bird each to give our 'sweet hearts'. Haha, and dwarf hamsters are SOOOOO cute! Haha, we were trying to wake this lazy hamster up.

9.3.04

Today was the second day of the admin phase, lol, some things were quite funny lar. We had 15 DXOs joining us, 14 of whom were ladies, and some were older, some were younger, the youngest was from 1983, and she happens to be the cutest of the lot. Though she ain't really gd looking, but one of my course mates is getting so infatuated with her, he almost melted when she accidentally touched him when he was offering her a Ricola. ^______^ And of course reporting to his closer buddy, me, whenever he made a significant 'advance' on her. Haha, he was seating on her left, and I was sitting on his left, and on my left was this nice girl who at first I bounced on. Lol, she's a studious looking lady who's pretty focussed on the course, unlike most of the guys, who were trying hard to keep awake.

And the other funny thing was how the guys were planning to get me to go to Zouk with them on Friday. Knowing how strict my mum is, like 10 of them were spending every opportunity they could thinking of a way to help me get past my mum. Lol. Ideas like going for chalet, watching midnight movies, telling her "I'm 19 and I haven't been to Zouk!!" or just saying "Mum, I am going out..bye!!" etc...and we finally settled on attending a friend's birthday slumber party...which I tried after summoning all my courage and acting skills...and failed. She wouldn't even allow me to stay over at a friend's place, 'cos I only knew them for a week or so, which isn't really enough. Fair enough. Sigh. Next time lor. And then today one by one they started declaring, "If Shengyong doesn't go then I won't go liao...no fun liao." Haha, pls lor, they just wanna have the fun of initiating a non-clubber to the clubbing scene, which can probably bring out the other side of someone.

Wah, yesterday was damn song, rained the whole day. We went to the cookhouse 3 times, twice for canteen breaks and once for lunch, and we got drenched a grand total of 6 times. Haha, don't say we didn't learn from our mistakes, we simply heck care the umbrella. And the irritating thing was it always gets heavier while we're walking in the open, as if the heavens were making fun of us. But I ain't complaining about having rain though. Rain is good. Reminds me of 'The Good Earth' by Pearl S. Buck. But of course, rain is good for Singapore in other ways. Which reminds me of the unbalanced state of Singapore's agriculture. This few days I've been taking 171, and it passes this orchid farm somewhere along Mandai Rd. I was just thinking, it's ironic that Singapore cannot even be self sufficient in vegetables, yet she can have so many hectares dedicated to a luxury item like the orchid. On one hand it just shows how shrewd our economists are, and on the other it shows just how much one can bend the basic rules of running an economy with a large budget surplus (which is slowly becoming a deficit..), i.e. spending money importing vegetables, which are staples, but yet earning much more through high-end plant products. Imagine a country that can ill afford to import vegs cos of the lack of money, can they even think of sustaining a high-end orchid farm when they cannot even produce enough veg to support themselves?

A level results were released last Friday. I was in the middle of an exercise when they were released, so I wasn't directly affected by it. But I am glad my juniors all did well, and my cousin did well too, although I hope she has thought through the 'ambiguity' and I understand how frustrating it must have been. But anyhow, I was reading about the AJC guy who survived SARS and did well in exams...woah I can only say he's damn good lah!

From next week onwards I will be giving four tuition classes a week...I am going to be so busy. But cannot help it lah, have to help pay bills since I am the only one working now. I'll be getting 750 a month just from tuition alone, given the 4 sessions. Not bad hor? Heh heh, we're getting a new washing machine after the old one sorta 'expired' and kept on vomitting water.

6.3.04

So fast Saturday liao! Just finished the first phase of the course today, and all the NSFs in the course passed the test; the 3 Brunei trainees and 2 regulars failed. Hmm, actually many of us attending the course will not use what we learnt in the course in our vocations, e.g. we have a regular from SAF band who plays the French horn, and he was like Wtf? Why am I learning this? Haha, but seriously speaking, the past week had been really quite siong mentally. So much to study in so little time, although I am pretty sure it doesn't half measure up to the amount of material the people in uni have to absorb in the same time..but you see, uni guys have had like, how many months?, of re-adjusting back to mugging life, whereas us NSFs, like the french horn guy said, haven't studied for like at least one year plus and are suddenly 'thrown into the ocean to drown'. At that time I thought it was quite a fitting analogy, but now I think it's kinda lame. Maybe it's because of the environment. *Shrugs* Nah, maybe because I wanted to take a lift from him outside that day. :D

My friend's getting a family van soon. A van beats having nothing at all! =)

Well, a car's good to have, but my coursemate was saying they should make cars cheaper to own. I reminded him casually that it's precisely because a car is supposed to be a luxury and not a necessity that it is expensive to own and maintain. Haha, we have this guy from 9DIV who's a rich kia, we call him william hung lol..he drives a mercedes and doesn't have to maintain it by himself! And he's only an NSF! Haha, when he drove out of camp the second day, we all purposely saluted him 'cos usually only the officers can afford to drive, and a MERC at that some more! Sat in his car today to the MRT station, but then din really get to test its comfort 'cos I was squeezing with 3 other guys at the rear!! So we were all suaning him for having such a 'small' car. Lol. Talking about cars, the other regular has a really chio Mazda. It's sporty and blazing yellow. Freaking chio. I think I'll get such a car next time. Haha, yeah, neeexxt time.

The bunch of guys are really quite fantastic. Didn't expect such great company before the course commenced. Although I'm getting Sian Diao (heh heh personal joke) having a first name of Astar and last name of Hwachong, lol, but at least almost everyone has a nick name. Lunch times are damn boring, one and a half hours for lunch and we're done within 20 minutes usually, so after that zou-boh-lan, talk cock, sleep. I can't sleep in camp. This guy can plunge into a deep snoring regime within ten seconds of you witnessing him getting into the sleep mode. Damn power..

Using the word 'quite' reminds me of a conversation with my IC last Wednesday as he was giving me a lift halfway home after the seafood treat. Apparently, in the UK, if someone asks you 'how did you do for your exams?', to convey the message of 'quite good' in the Singaporean sense, we just have to say 'good', 'cos 'good' in the British context implies an average sort of good, which is what Singaporeans really mean by 'quite good'. And more interesting is their use of 'quite'. If a Briton says he obtained 'quite good' results, he actually means damn bloody hell good, or excellent, to put it more shortly. Damn subtle right lol.

Tea count: 4.40

I realised that I cannot drink tea, unless I wanna have eye bags. Took teh-peng or Hokkien for iced tea (not lemon tea) on one of the days during the morning break, then that night couldn't sleep! Developed eye bags which persisted till yesterday. Then finally I slept well and they're less pronounced now.

Yawn. We had a debrief today, after two days of exercises where we were basically stuck in a tiny room which was supposed to mimick war conditions. Bleah. The course commander was a major, and as usual while asking for suggestions to improve the course, he emphasised that things cannot be changed so easily. -__- So I guess it'll be status quo for the next batch.

I just started giving tuition to a childhood friend who's now J1. Haven't seen him in years. And on the tuition day which was Friday I actually forgot that he was supposed to come and happily went jogging right after coming home. So ended up late as I had to eat and bathe AFAP within 15 minutes.

Listening to Jeff Chang's 'Guo Huo'.

Sigh...I have this knot inside me, which I can't unravel. There's something that I can't put to ease, something I want to happen that I know is not possible, but yet which I don't wanna give up and leave like this. There's little hope of it ever actuating, but there's always the anticipation that the other party realises my intention, and this accentuates everyday.

No, it has nothing to do with the course.

Argh, the confusion is frustrating. Hopefully I'll get over it soon. Maybe I am just too tired.

Second day of course...today I blacked out during one of the computer lessons cos the courseware was soo boring.

Anyway yl forwarded this site to me. It's pretty interesting, it's like the youth version of Sistic.

http://www.ygnite.org

Today was another grave day, haha pun intended. Tomorrow won't differ very much I guess, with the exception of being much more boring.....we've to do a whole day of calculations! Hai...but it's quite interesting to have a closer look at the intricacies of the amount of administrative work involved in a war, coupled with the reminder from the experienced instructors that 'no one in Singapore has ever experienced a real war yet'.

The food at the cookhouse is actually not that bad, compared with the air base. After all it's all Singapore Food Industries.

Oh yah, the freaking clerk has to carry dead bodies too, plus dig shell scrapes and shoot to defend his cell. Darn. Luckily there's no outfield component for this course.

1.3.04

Yaaawwn...first day of my BASC and I'm already feeling quite sian. It was just a full day of lessons, from 8 to 5:30. But there are a few things to be glad about:

1. The people on course with me are great pals. Great for talking cock with, eating with, dozing off with..haha. They're pretty easy to get along with, that's what made the day for me. I really find it hard to mix with dao people. But of course 'me' made a difference too. I'm becoming more open (mouthed hehe) and finding it generally easier to mix with total strangers. And one of them reminds me of somebody of the opposite gender, in terms on mannerism. But no, he ain't sissy.

2. We had 3 canteen breaks, including lunch, and excluding the liberal toilet breaks.

3. I got out of the normal office routine back in camp, though on hindsight, it is still better to be in camp, 'cos I get to go home half an hour earlier everyday! Plus got off days. Here, it's 8 to 5:30, 8 to 5:30, 8 to 5:30, 8 to 5:30, oh how many times have I said it? Bah.

4. The instructors are quite funny. Reminds me of how my jc frens used to laugh at our chem tutor, rather than her 'jokes', if they fit the definition at all. Haha, usually we laugh 'cos of their quirky mannerisms, esp. those of the Warrant aunties, all from the same SAF Warrant-class mould. Haha, no offence to Warrant aunties lah...it's an endearing way of addressing them.

5. I get to purchase the newest generation SAF shoes from the Emart! Don't think it's available in the PLAB Emart.

6. Khatib Camp is so much nearer my home than PLAB!! I get to leave house almost one hour later than usual and still be on time! *big grin* Bah, but my bro still has to wake me up at 5:30am. Haha. no lar.

Well well, but the course is still SIAN! It's the first time since the last lecture in jc that I relived how torturous it is to be dozing off during lessons and trying god-damned hard not to. Lucky for the toilet breaks, can wash face.

One day is like one week. The first day and I already explored half the camp during lunch break. And I met my pri sch classmate there too! And another one on the bus to Khatib Camp. ^_____^

There are 3 Bruneians in the class as well. I'm one of those who won't be becoming a Chief Clerk very soon despite attending a Battalion Chief Clerk course. Well, these are random thoughts, but since this week's course is about being a Chief Clerk in times of WAR, the overall impression I get is that WAR AIN'T GOOD. Much of the admin stuff I have to do as a Battalion Chief Clerk concerns the death of soldiers: preparing burial grounds (even before they fight), updating nominal rolls when people die/get wounded in operation, receiving round identity discs..:( and deciding what to with remains..(there's a whole chapter on remains management, an euphemism for 'what to do with dead bodies') =( Not fun at all.

But on the other hand, it's still a challenging job. Imagine 3 companies depending on you to get reinforcements in war.

Argh, I can't wait for next week. Why?

One, next week we start on being a Chief Clerk in times of PEACE. Mmmmmmm...sounds so much more pleasant.

Two, and more significantly, the DXOs are coming in!!!! Yay! (Don't give me that blur look lar..okay okay..DXO clerks nowadays are largely young female civilians, some around my age) I am happy 'cos they break the monotony of the uniform green colour in the lecture room. Haha, what's my notti blog thinking?

Gd night. Tomorrow's a long day. Again.

Post script: I realised I haven't been to the zoo in ages. Not since lower sec or even pri sch. Only realised 'cos I passed the zoo twice today. And will do so for the next 17 days.
