Been really busy lately..hmm got basic theory test in one and a half hours! haha.

long time since i blogged..been pretty tied down with work and social life. heh.
well...to recap a bit (backwards since i can't exactly recall what i was doing from the 19th.)
Went for final theory driving lessons on sunday, really boring 6 hours spent there. i was practically sleeping through some of the lessons..the style of teaching is super-spastic and childish and inconsequential; one emerges from the lesson not enlightened by the importance of safe driving or the specifics of the techniques involved in being a good driver (which are the school's self-professed objectives), but with a new-found confidence in the ability of rote-learning to enable one to pass the test; 'we achieved a 95% passing rate in the last BTT'. wth.
well, at least it ended early. and i was out of the place as soon as i could.
then went to chanlek's house for a practice session. we're supposed to put up a small chn orch item for the astar scholarship presentation ceremony. and unfortunately someone had to volunteer my name as an erhu player..okay okay..not that i minded the momentary 'fame' that brought me. (haha.) but it just wrecks my whole schedule; i had to change my driving lessons the previous week to a friday instead of saturday. so i went to a flat in kebun bahru, and was the first to arrive. even the host came a few minutes later. so spent about an hour at his place, which was really a nice place to live..quiet surroundings..not too near the next block..and being on a hill-top..sustained breezes that rendered the fan unnecessary..ideal for studying at least to me..haha but the host apparently found it too distracting to study at home..preferred to study in the sanctity of the school library. but anyway, the yangqin he had was a bit problematic, first it was dusty; second it was very un-tuned; third he did not have the proper tuning devices; fourth he did not have the proper playing sticks (came without rubber); hahaha kinda funny lar..in the end they used rubber bands as a substitute to the rubber component of the sticks..
then went home for dinner with relatives and then tuition with a cousin.
that was sunday. woo!
hmm saturday wasn't much busier. after ippt run in the morning and a workout at home after that, i rushed to raffles city to meet a fren and to attend a rehearsal with astar..duh..the pple seriously do not have much experience at organising a simple event like an awards ceremony..or perhaps the fact that it's supposed to be a prestigious event got into their heads and they all got wuffly and undecided..but anyway after that followed chanlek for 'lunch' though it was already 4 plus..haha we had beefy pizza ar the pizza place..and it was his treat..woo! it was good. then went home and stumbled upon a visit by a family fren who just came back from cambridge! haha..
friday was boring except we had a high tea treat in the office courtesy of a recently promoted (in grade) boss.
thursday was my duty off day as i did night duty on wed, went jogging in the afternoon before meeting yeelin at chinatown for dinner. it was great seein her again after an almost 4 month hiatus in melbourne! we had dimsum at yum-cha, a quaint tea-house concept restaurant at trengganu street. btw, the NEL looks really swell! esp the dhoby ghaut station. too bad it was raining the whole evening..we took a picture at the garden overhead bridge in the rain! lol, pple walking past were like: it's raining u know? and we just hecked it! decided to adjourn to orchard since we could walk underground there..chinatown's no fun when it's raining..pity. but we ended up having desserts at bistro at borders..and she treated me to brownies and chocolate fudge..it was really good stuff but damn ex too. hmm..but it was good lar. haha. then sent her halfway home.
hmm that's abt as far as i can remember in detail. talk abt a short memory. =)
